J. Lancaster and Son Mahogany Field Camera Outfit - An assortment of mahogany and brass photographic equipment manufactured by J. Lancaster and Son of Birmingham, England. The field camera is constructed from mahogany wood with red bellows and brass hardware. A manufacturer label on the front baseboard reads J. LANCASTER AND SON BIRMINGHAM. The camera is equipped with a brass-barrel lens featuring a rotating waterhouse-style aperture diaphragm. Included in the outfit are three folding wooden tripod legs with pointed metal feet and brass fittings, three wooden double-dark slide plate holders, one wooden ground glass focusing screen frame, and one timer mechanism.
