14 Karat Yellow Gold and Diamond Horseshoe Stick Pin in Fitted Presentation Box - This antique style stick pin features a classic equestrian horseshoe motif crafted in 14 karat yellow gold. The horseshoe head is set with eleven graduated diamonds in open-work gallery and crown-style settings. The stones exhibit facet patterns consistent with Old Mine or Old European cuts. The horseshoe is soldered to a spherical terminal at the top of a long, straight yellow gold pin stem. The upper third of the stem is fashioned with a spiral twist designed to provide grip within fabric. The reverse of the pin stem is incised with the hallmark 14K behind the horseshoe head. The item is accompanied by a vintage fitted presentation case with a dark blue textured exterior and a hinged lid. The interior of the case is lined with cream silk in the lid and a black velvet-covered insert featuring a central retaining loop for the pin stem.
