Victorian Cased Sterling Silver Thimble - A Victorian sterling silver thimble. The body of the thimble is decorated with an all-over embossed pattern of stylized sunburst rosettes, topped with a traditional dimpled crown. The lower edge consists of a plain band containing a full set of British hallmarks. The thimble is presented in its original egg-shaped case with a dark brown leather exterior. The interior is lined with blue velvet in the base and cream silk in the lid. The case is fitted with a brass hinge and a metal hook-and-eye clasp.
