Paul Horton, Heart of Winter, 2015, Original Drawing - An original drawing on paper by Paul Horton (British, b. 1958) titled Heart of Winter. The work is executed in graphite pencil with selective colored pencil accents. The composition features a central, whimsical bare tree decorated with various hanging motifs, including a yellow star, a wizard's hat, a crescent moon, an owl, boots, a gift, and a miniature house. To the right of the tree, a snowman wearing a top hat and a red and yellow striped scarf stands in a snowy landscape next to a small black dog. The artist's signature, Paul Horton, is written along the bottom right side of the drawing. The verso of the frame is hand-inscribed in black ink: Heart of Winter original drawing with Best Wishes Paul Horton 2015. Additionally, the back features a Washington Green Fine Art Publishing quality approval label identifying the piece as Heart of Winter (Colour Drawing) with the moulding reference 350 790 and original reference . A second label indicates the use of Artglass WW anti-reflective glass. The drawing is presented in a white mat and a silver-toned frame.
