Republic Period Chinese Famille Rose Floral Decorated Bowl
A finely painted Chinese famille rose floral decorated porcelain bowl in red, yellow, orange, and purple. It has a four-character Ju Rentand Zhi mark in red on the base. Republic Period. It measures H 2.25 W 4.75 inches.
Condition: Some minor cracking where the base meets the bowl.
Ju Ren Tang Zhil mark meaning "made in the hall of Benevolence" specially ordered by the first president of the Republic of China, Yuan Shikai (1859-1916). The name derives from the name of his palace.
