Two Vintage Marcasite Figural Brooches including an Enamelled Horse and an Art Deco Style Silver Horse And Jockey - This lot comprises two vintage figural brooches featuring marcasite decoration. The first brooch is designed as a rearing horse, featuring a pinkish-red enamelled body. Faceted marcasite stones are set into the mane, tail, and hooves. It is constructed from silver-toned metal and is fitted with a hinged pin and rolling safety C-clasp on the reverse. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible on this piece. The second brooch depicts a stylised female figure in an arched acrobatic or dance pose, characteristic of Art Deco design. The front of the brooch is densely pavé-set with numerous faceted marcasite stones. The reverse is stamped with the word SILVER and is fitted with a hinged pin and rolling safety C-clasp.
