A Pair of Circular Fabric-Mounted Porcelain Wall Plaques with Pastoral Scenes - This pair of decorative wall plaques consists of two circular mounts with inset porcelain medallions. Each central oval medallion is made of glazed porcelain decorated with polychrome pastoral scenes in the Rococo style. One plaque depicts two figures in a landscape, with one figure holding a large basket filled with grapes and flowers. The second plaque shows two youthful figures, likely shepherds, resting in a landscape with a sheep nearby. The medallions are set into circular backing boards covered in a pale green, short-pile fabric with a velvet-like texture.
