Gilt Metal Effect Rococo Revival Putti Casket Jewellery Box - A gilt metal effect decorative casket designed in the Rococo revival style. The rectangular box is decorated with relief-cast fluted columns and scrolling foliage borders. The lid is surmounted by a central foliate finial and ornamental edges. The casket is supported by two cast winged putti figures positioned at each end, appearing to carry the box on their shoulders. The interior is lined with black velvet or felt.
