A Pair of Cast Iron and Brass Fire Dogs - A pair of cast iron fire dogs dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Each andiron features a heavy spherical finial atop a baluster-turned column, supported by arched bifurcated trestle feet at the front. Horizontal billet bars extend to the rear to support logs, featuring small brass-toned spherical finials at the front junction. The set exhibits a dark, naturally aged patina throughout the cast iron construction. No maker marks, inscriptions, or stamps are visible on the exposed surfaces.
