A Collection of Eastern Orthodox and Western Christian Devotional Objects - This collection comprises various religious devotional items of Eastern Orthodox and Western Christian traditions. It includes a small wooden folding diptych icon with hand-painted panels; the top panel depicts the Virgin Hodegetria and is inscribed in Cyrillic with МР ΘУ (transliterated as MR THU for Mother of God), while the bottom panel depicts Christ Pantocrator with the inscriptions IC XC (Jesus Christ) and о ω н (He Who Is) within the cross-nimbus. A second folding diptych is presented in a red velvet-lined case, featuring two pressed brass or gilded metal plaques representing Christ Pantocrator with an open Gospel book and the Kazan Mother of God. The group further contains a modern cast resin figurine of the Virgin Mary wearing a textured blue cloak over a black habit, a cast metal high-relief plaque of the Virgin and Child in a mid-20th-century Western style, and a rosary consisting of pink faceted beads and a metal crucifix. The icons follow traditional Russian iconographic conventions, while the other pieces reflect contemporary and Catholic devotional styles.
