A Pair of Late 19th or Early 20th Century Embossed Brass Clad Fireside Log Boxes - A matched pair of fireside storage boxes designed for coal or logs, constructed with wooden carcasses entirely clad in embossed brass sheeting. Each box features high-relief repousse decoration depicting traditional Flemish genre scenes. The primary panels illustrate tavern interiors with figures seated around tables and large beer barrels, as well as outdoor village landscapes featuring period architecture and trees. These scenes are framed by ornate borders of repeating scroll and foliate motifs. The boxes are designed with slanted, hinged lids and are supported by wooden block feet.
