Small Still Life Oil on Panel of Fruit in a Gilded Frame - A traditional still life oil painting on wooden panel depicting two peaches alongside clusters of green and purple grapes. The composition is set against a dark, moody background with the fruit highlighted through thick impasto brushwork, particularly to the sheen of the grapes and the skins of the peaches. The work is unsigned. It is presented in a deep, ornate gilt composition frame featuring scrolling acanthus leaf and shell motifs at the corners. The reverse of the frame is painted black and the dark wood panel support is visible to the centre. A small rectangular paper label with a blue border and handwritten character w is affixed to the verso of the panel.
