A Pair of Duron Chalkware Wall Plaques - A pair of mid-century chalkware wall plaques by Duron (Duron, Nieri & Bacci), each depicting a profile bust of a young child. One plaque features a boy with short hair and a braid, while the other shows a girl with wavy shoulder-length hair. The set is finished in a matte black paint, accented with hand-painted white detailing to represent tartan or plaid bow ties and collars. The boy plaque features an incised production number 816 on the outer right-hand edge. These pieces are characteristic of the stylized black decorative ware produced in Britain during the 1950s and 1960s.
