TWO ITEMS OF BRASS DOMESTIC WARE COMPRISING A DECORATIVE BOX AND A CAST TRIVET - A decorative brass-clad box and a cast brass trivet. The box is constructed with embossed brass panels secured over a wooden structure, featuring a traditional repousse coaching scene on the lid and front panel depicting a horse-drawn stagecoach and figures outside a building. The box is finished with brass edging strips and a single ornate cast handle mounted to the side. The interior is wood-lined and contains a single vertical divider. The solid cast brass trivet features a pierced decorative design of scrolling foliate and arabesque motifs, raised on three out-turned cabriole-style feet.
