UK 2015 The Royal Mint The Fifth Circulating Coinage Portrait First Edition Set - A set of eight United Kingdom definitive coins issued by The Royal Mint in 2015, titled The Fifth Circulating Coinage Portrait First Edition. The collection comprises coins in denominations of two pounds, one pound, fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, five pence, two pence, and one penny, all in brilliant uncirculated condition. The obverse of each coin displays the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, identified by the initials JC below the truncation. The obverse legend reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF 2015. Reverse designs include the Royal Shield of Arms arrangement by Matthew Dent for the one penny to one pound coins, and the Britannia design for the two pound coin. The set is presented in the original black and gold folder with a descriptive booklet detailing the history of the royal coinage portraits. This set is significant for introducing the Clark portrait and featuring the last of the round one pound coins.
