The set comprises the full range of the year's definitive circulating denominations from 1p to the 12-sided £1, as well as multiple commemorative issues including a £5 coin and several £2 coins. The obverse of each coin features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D. The reverses of the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, and 50p coins feature the Royal Shield of Arms design by Matthew Dent.
