A Pair of Durham Mark Masonry Provincial Grand Lodge Collar Jewels - A pair of fraternal collar jewels associated with the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Durham. The pieces are constructed from gilt metal with translucent guilloché enamel work. The first jewel features a central plumb rule motif set against a blue enamel field with a sunburst pattern. Its textured gilt border is inscribed with the letters D U R H A M and decorated with a laurel wreath. The second jewel displays a similar central plumb rule on a blue field, surrounded by a red enamel border inscribed D U R H A M. This jewel is further embellished with overlaid symbols of a crossed axe and sickle, a small buckle at the base, and a decorative crest on the right edge. Both pieces are fitted with their original suspension loops at the top. Dimensions: Approximately 45mm in length by 35mm in width.
