Royal Crown Derby Treasures of Childhood Humpty Dumpty Porcelain Figurine - A fine bone china figurine of the nursery rhyme character Humpty Dumpty, from the Treasures of Childhood series by Royal Crown Derby. The piece is decorated with polychrome enamels and 22-carat gold gilding. The figurine depicts a stylised Humpty Dumpty seated upon a low wall. His egg-shaped body is finished in white with a simple smiling face and pink cheeks. He wears a decorative outfit featuring a blue and white checkered pattern, a red vest with gold dots, and gold-banded sleeves. His legs are striped in red and white, ending in black shoes adorned with gold bows. The wall base is decorated with gold-outlined rectangular blocks and a small floral motif. The base bears red printed marks: Humpty Dumpty in script, © 2005 ROYAL CROWN DERBY, Treasures of Childhood, MADE IN ENGLAND, and the Roman numerals MMV. There is a red Royal Crown Derby backstamp consisting of a crown above a stylised monogram. Small hand-painted letters p/k are present.
