Fabulous George V Sterling Silver Mounted Cut Glass Decanter London 1922 - A George V clear cut glass decanter of bulbous form. The body is decorated with deep-cut large diamond facets, while the neck features a band of fine diamond cutting positioned below vertical flutes. The piece is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver collar and a matching spherical cut glass stopper with a facet-cut neck and radiating cuts to the top. The silver collar bears a full set of British hallmarks comprising the maker's mark D & S within a quatrefoil, the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the London Assay Office, and the date letter G for 1922. Total height including stopper: 30 cm.
