A Decorative Reproduction Roman Pugio and Ornate Scabbard - A decorative modern reproduction of a Roman pugio dagger and matching scabbard. The dagger is designed with a leaf-shaped, double-edged blade featuring three central fullers. The hilt is made of cast metal with an antiqued silver-toned finish, featuring a bulbous pommel decorated with an eagle motif, a textured grip with a central floral medallion, and a flat rectangular guard. The accompanying scabbard is highly ornate, constructed from cast metal with a two-tone silver and bronze-coloured finish. The scabbard body is decorated with relief-moulded panels, including a lion's head in a circular frame, a bull, and various geometric and foliated borders. It is fitted with four suspension rings for attachment to a belt and terminates in a large, rounded chape. No maker's marks, brand names, or country of origin stamps are visible.
