The Bradford Exchange John Wayne An American Legend Collectible Display Knife - A collectible wall-mount display knife produced by The Bradford Exchange in 2006, titled An American Legend. This piece is the first issue in the John Wayne collection. The decorative blade features a full-colour graphic depiction of John Wayne on horseback within a desert landscape. The wood-toned handle is set with a three-dimensional, bronze-patinated relief figure of the actor. The knife is fitted with a curved brass-toned crossguard and a pommel cap bearing a silver-toned insert with a printed facsimile signature reading J Wayne. The reverse side is flat-backed and fitted with a metal sawtooth hanging bracket. The back of the handle is inscribed with the following: No. 17223 An American Legend First Issue in the John Wayne Knife collection which is produced in a limited-edition presentation restricted to a maximum of 295 casting days, and crafted to the exacting standards of The Bradford Exchange.
