German School, 20th Century 'Forest Landscape with Horse-Drawn Logging Wagon' (Signed) - A large-format representational landscape painting executed in oil on canvas. The scene depicts figures guiding a horse-drawn wagon loaded with logs through a mixed forest of evergreen and deciduous trees, following a track alongside a calm body of water. The work is housed in an ornate, deep-profile gilded wooden frame featuring classic textured and scrolled mouldings. On the verso, the wooden stretcher bears handwritten numbers 100,00 and 6236 in dark ink. A partial black stamp on the stretcher contains the characters S T E I L L E R and G m b H, likely referring to the manufacturer or supplier. A faint, illegible circular mark is also present on the reverse of the canvas. The work is signed lower right.
