White Metal Wine Coasters, Mid-20th Century? - Two white metal wine coasters of circular form. The larger example features a pierced gallery with vertical slot decoration and a geometric patterned upper rim, set with a turned mahogany? base showing concentric circular grooves. The smaller coaster is of all-metal construction, featuring a gallery pierced with repeating oval motifs and a beaded upper edge. The internal base of the smaller coaster is decorated with engraved foliate and floral scrolls. The smaller item shows a copper-toned surface beneath the white metal finish. No maker's marks or assay marks are legible on either piece. Diameter: 11 cm Diameter: 7.5 cm.
