An Assortment of Vintage? Brass and White Metal Pocket Compasses - An assortment of mid-century? pocket compasses of varying designs. The collection includes a circular brass compass with a green felt lining to the interior of the lid and a black dial with white markings, including the word FOREIGN printed at the six o'clock position. A second brass example features a hunter-style hinged case and an ornate gold-toned dial with a degree scale in quadrants. The group also contains two white metal compasses of Japanese? manufacture; the first features a separate lid and a black dial marked JAPAN below the pivot, while the second is a larger hunter-style compass with luminescent markings and a dial marked TC within a rectangular cartouche and JAPAN. All units are equipped with suspension rings.
