Royal Crown Derby Bone China Old Imari Dinner Plate 1128, 1986, 10 5/8” - A Royal Crown Derby bone china dinner plate of circular form, decorated in the traditional Old Imari pattern. The vessel features a complex scheme of iron red and cobalt blue underglaze decoration, enriched with heavy hand-applied gilded highlights and borders. The central medallion displays a stylised multi-petalled floral motif within a gold scrollwork surround, while the outer rim is divided into sixteen radiating panels alternating between floral sprays on a cobalt ground and geometric diamond-hatched designs. The underside bears a red printed backstamp with ROYAL CROWN DERBY in a circular arrangement at the top above a crown and cypher, with ENGLISH BONE CHINA curved at the bottom. Below this mark are the pattern number 1128 and the Roman numeral date code XLIX, signifying a manufacture date of 1986. Diameter: 27 cm.
