A 1930s Uranium Green Pressed Glass Princess Pattern Platter by Hocking Glass Company? - A uranium green pressed glass serving platter of oval form, produced in the Hocking Glass Company? Princess pattern. The piece features two integral closed-tab handles at either end. The decoration consists of a central sunburst medallion with twelve radiating lobes, enclosed by an intricate border of draped swags, scrollwork, and foliate motifs. The glass displays a transparent light green hue under ambient light and a strong, vibrant green fluorescence under ultraviolet light, signifying the presence of uranium oxide. The underside of the tray is moulded smooth with no pontil mark present. Length: 29.2 cm.
