The set is constructed from white metal? and gilt metal effect? bases with multi-coloured enamel decoration, comprising designs from 1939 through to 1996. Included is a 1939 Clacton pin featuring a seated figure in orange and blue attire, inscribed 'BUTLIN'S CLACTON 1939', and a shield-shaped 1959 Clacton badge with a lighthouse motif, inscribed 'BUTLIN'S CLACTON 1959'. A 1961 Bognor pin depicts a deck chair and yacht, inscribed 'B O G N O R 1961 BUTLINS', while a figurative 1954 Pwllheli badge shows a woman in a swimsuit, inscribed 'P W L L H E L I 1954' with a 'Butlin's' banner.
