A Collection of 20th Century? Composite Resin Snuff Bottles with Apocryphal Qianlong Marks - A collection of composite resin? snuff bottles of flattened, ovoid form. The group includes examples finished in bright red, deep maroon, and off-white tones, designed to imitate carved cinnabar lacquer and ivory. Each bottle is decorated with high-relief narrative scenes featuring scholars and attendants within pavilion and landscape settings, set against a recessed diaper pattern ground. The shoulders and necks are embellished with floral and foliate motifs. Each vessel is fitted with a matching moulded stopper and a gilt metal effect? rim to the neck and oval base. The base of each bottle features an inset black panel bearing a recessed four-character seal mark in archaic script reading 乾隆年製. These marks are apocryphal and indicate the bottles are modern decorative items produced in the traditional style. Height: 7.5 cm.
