The dagger features a double-edged stainless steel blade with a central fuller and black and gilt metal effect etched decoration. The blade bears the vertical inscription SPQR within a rectangular border, accompanied by foliate scrollwork and a Medusa-head motif. The cast metal hilt is designed with an eagle-head pommel featuring gilt metal effect feathers. The grip includes a central decorative band with a gilt metal effect medallion depicting the Capitoline Wolf. The matching scabbard is constructed with a brushed metal body and ornate cast metal fittings at the throat and chape featuring classical motifs.
