20th Century? Porcelain Military Figurines by Scheibe-Alsbach? and Decorative Objects - A collection of decorative objects including porcelain figurines, art glass, and religious sculpture. The lot features a pair of polychrome painted porcelain figures depicting Napoleonic military personnel; one officer in a blue uniform with a red sash and bicorne hat, and a Hussar in a red and white pelisse with a shako plume leaning on a sabre. Both figures are mounted on circular bases decorated with gilt effect scrollwork. The underside of one figure bears a blue underglaze mark consisting of two crossed lines with loops and an incised number 544. The assortment includes a white composite sculpture of the Pietà after Michelangelo, set on a marbled effect rectangular plinth inscribed PIETÀ. Also present is a bulbous art glass vase with swirled green and blue marbled decoration, a tall porcelain pitcher featuring hand-painted floral bouquets with a gilt effect scrolling handle, and a glazed ceramic model of a twin-towered castle gatehouse.
