Responsa Parach Mate Aharon - a particularly fine copy - a magnificent original leather binding
Responsa Parach Mate Aharon on Various Matters and Negotiations with the Sages of His Generation By Rabbi Aharon HaCohen Farhiya, Part One, Amsterdam 1703.
Original leather-covered wood binding, with fancy embossing and gilt inscription on spine. Title page engraving image of Moshe and Aaron, Ark, Angels and priesthood hands (alluding to the author who was Cohen). At the top of Part I is a page with a Portuguese print Approval.
In "Shem HaGdolim" for HIDA, he wrote about the author: "One of the great scholars of Salonika Torah and greatness united on his table, looks like an angel and from his answers is evident on his great Torah"
