A dollar bill given by the rebbi on the Rebbe's birthday, 11 Nissan 1980
A dollar bill given from the holy hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe on the 11th of Nissan 1980, the 78st birthday.
On the back of the note, the receiver wrote: 'Hitvahadut 11 nisan תש"מ...,'
Every year on the day of nisan 11, Thousands of Hasidim stream to Brooklyn to celebrate the Rebbe's birthday, and it was a Spectacular sight of how 72 hours before Passover, when the preparations at their peak, The masses left their homes and came to celebrate the occasion. The Rebbe used to hold a special gathering for the approaching Passover, and he used to call to intensify the activities for the clal Israel.
Dollar bills distributed on this day are very rare and almost impossible to achieve.
