AMERICAN REVOLUTION CONNECTICUT PAY ORDER 1782
State of Connecticut Pay Table Office pay order document, dated April 15th, 1782, 6.5 x 5.5 inches. Pay order made out to 'Farmington Select Men' for 3 pounds and 10 shillings. Signed by William Moseley, (1755-1824), and Eleazer Wales, (1732-1794), with vertical signature by Hezekiah Rogers, (1753-1811). Signed on verso by Solomon Whitman, (1710-1803), a town clerk, justice of the peace, and judge of the probate court. With printed signature from 'John Lawrence, Esq., Treasurer'. Uncut, two vertical folds, minor loss and tears at edges.
