Attic black-figure cylindrical lekythos, Workshop of the Bowdoin Painter. 475 - 450 BC. Height 27,2cm, ø 10,2cm. Black corpus with elegant palmettes at the shoulder. Tiny chippings at mouth and foot, black glaze behind in the lower area rubbed off, otherwise intact. Formerly in the property of the German photographer and painter Eugen Batz (1905 - 1986)! With certificate of the Art Loss Register!
