An Ottoman Calligraphic Talismanic Panel in Leaf Form, 19th-20th Century.
This Ottoman calligraphic panel is shaped in the form of an almond or leaf, a sacred and protective format often associated with talismanic purposes. Intricately inscribed with dense Arabic script in black ink, the central text is meticulously arranged in concentric lines, likely comprising Qur'anic verses, invocations, or protective prayers. A second inscription band flows along the outer border, framed by delicate arabesque floral corner decorations rendered in muted tones of gold, rose, and blue.
