AN OTTOMAN JALI THULUTH CALLIGRAPHIC PANEL FEATURING QURANIC VERSE, BY İSMAIL HAKKI ALTUNBEZER. - A framed calligraphic panel (levha) executed in silver-toned pigment on a deep cobalt blue ground. The central text is written in a complex Jali Thuluth script, featuring the Quranic verse ”Inna Allāha ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr” (Indeed, Allah is powerful over all things). The composition is densely layered with interlacing characters typical of Ottoman calligraphic traditions. The blue field is framed by a decorative red border embellished with gold-toned scrolling foliate and floral motifs. Each of the four corners of the main blue field is decorated with silver-toned illuminated floral sprigs.  Approximately 37.7 x 27.5cm
