Old glass dragonfly eye Buddhist beads necklace Dragonfly eye is the common name of an ancient ornament. Dragonfly eye is made of glass, also known as colored glaze. Artificial glass first appeared in West Asia and Egypt in 2500 BC. Its earliest use was to make beads. First, monochrome glass appeared, and 1000 years later, colored glass appeared. In the 15th century BC, glass beads began to have colorful stripes or dot patterns.
