A Pair of Vintage Shell Two-Gallon Petrol Cans - A pair of vintage petrol cans produced for the Shell Oil Company, typical of the United Kingdom market in the early-to-mid 20th century. One can is finished in blue and features the Shell Aviation Spirit branding with a red-painted embossed winged shell logo and vertical lettering. The other can is finished in black and features a large central embossed shell logo and Shell lettering embossed along the bottom edge. Both items are of a standard two-gallon capacity and are constructed from tin-plated steel. Each can is fitted with its original metal handle and a heavy-duty screw-on filler cap.
