A Victorian Rosewood and Brass Mounted Jewellery or Keepsake Box - A Victorian-style rectangular box constructed from rosewood with a polished finish. The exterior features a blank shield-shaped brass plaque inlaid into the centre of the lid and a matching shield-shaped brass escutcheon to the front. The box is fitted with a brass lock and includes an accompanying simple barrel key. The interior is lined with red velvet. The construction includes brass hinges and a brass strike plate to the lid.
