Sterling Silver Miniature Mandolin Novelty Pill Box - A miniature novelty pill box fashioned from sterling silver in the form of a mandolin. The body of the instrument is hinged, opening to a plain interior. The face is embellished with engraved scrollwork and foliate motifs around a central circular soundhole. Wire strings are applied to the body and neck, running over a bridge to a headstock featuring simulated tuning pegs. The interior of the lid bears a stamped 925 fineness mark.
