A Vintage Cast Iron Gloucestershire Pig Doorstop - A vintage painted cast iron doorstop depicting a Gloucestershire pig. The piece is modelled in relief with the animal shown in profile standing upon a textured base. The pig is finished in a buff colour with characteristic black spots, while the integral base is decorated with green and yellow tones to resemble grass. The front of the base features raised, cast lettering reading Gloucestershire Pig preceded by a small foliate sprig symbol. The reverse of the doorstop is a hollow-back casting showing the natural surface of the iron. Height: 18 cm.
