A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1928 Mercedes SS - A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear die-cast model of a 1928 Mercedes SS, presented in its original window display box. The model features a white painted body with a black textured hood depicted in the down position. It is fitted with silver-tone spoked wheels and white-wall rubber tires. The box is the characteristic 'gold' series design. The front of the packaging is printed with the series logo ”models of yesterday®”, the model number ”Y-16”, and the description ”1928 MERCEDES SS”. The reverse of the box carries a printed copyright notice stating ”'MATCHBOX' (MARCA REGISTRADA) IS THE REGISTERED TRADE MARK OF LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD, LONDON, ENGLAND. © 1978 LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD.” and ”PRINTED AND MADE IN ENGLAND.” The top front corner bears a small white adhesive label with ”6.50” handwritten in blue ink, partially obscured by a scribble.
