A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Die-cast Citroen Type H Van - A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear die-cast Citroen Type H van, issued as part of the A Taste of France series. The model represents a 1947 vehicle and is finished in cream-coloured paint with red wheels. The sides of the van are decorated with printed decals for Brie Marcillat, featuring the text FABRIQUE EN FRANCE and MARCILLAT 88430 CORCIEUX positioned below a small circular logo. The lot includes the original illustrated cardboard box which displays cafe scene artwork by John Byrne, dated '92, and is marked as 6 IN A SERIES OF 6 and YTF 6. A white plastic display stand is included, featuring a silver-coloured label inscribed 1947 CITROEN H Van POMMERY. The lot further includes loose mounting hardware, comprising a screw, a white plastic spacer, a white plastic washer, and a metal washer. An adhesive label on the box top reads HCP Auctions South, Lot 027. Note the discrepancy between the Brie Marcillat livery on the model and the Pommery identification on the stand and box.
