A Vintage Matchbox Lesney 1938 Hispano-Suiza Models of Yesteryear Y-17 - A vintage Matchbox Lesney 1938 Hispano-Suiza Models of Yesteryear Y-17, constructed from die-cast metal and plastic components. The model features a metallic blue body with a textured black plastic roof and black plastic fenders. Silver-tone plastic detailing includes the front grille, bumpers, headlights, and dual spare wheels mounted at the rear. The wheels are comprised of black plastic tyres with white-wall detailing and silver-tone multi-spoke hubs. The black plastic base is embossed with the characters MATCHBOX, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR NO Y-17, 1938 HISPANO-SUIZA, MADE IN ENGLAND, © 1973, and LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD. The vehicle is accompanied by its original orange and red illustrated card window box, which is printed with the text 1938 Hispano Suiza and Matchbox Models of Yesteryear. A small Union Jack flag is printed on the flap above the text MADE AND PACKAGED LEAD-FREE. A white adhesive auction lot sticker reading 039 is attached to the plastic window.
