A Trio of Vintage Matchbox and Oxford Diecast Commercial Vehicles - A trio of vintage die-cast metal and plastic commercial vehicles produced by Matchbox and Oxford Diecast. The collection includes two 1923 Morris Pantechnicon vans from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series. The first is finished in a yellow livery with red and black text reading Weetabix, More than a Breakfast Food, MADE IN ENGLAND, and WEETABIX LIMITED BURTON LATIMER. Its black plastic underside features a rectangular logo containing the name MATCHBOX, alongside the text MATCHBOX INT L LTD., MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, MADE IN CHINA, 1923 MORRIS PANTECHNICON, Y-31, and copyright 1989. The second van is finished in a red livery with gold-bordered black text reading KEMP S BISCUITS., NELEODA WORKS LONDON N 7, and Biscuit and Food Manufacturers. The black plastic base bears a rectangular logo containing the word MATCHBOX, with further text reading MATCHBOX INT L LTD., MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, MADE IN MACAU, 1923 MORRIS PANTECHNICON, Y-31, and copyright 1989. The third vehicle is an Oxford Diecast showman s breakdown truck or road locomotive, finished in green and red with yellow signage for FUN FAIR and TRAVERS S. This model is secured by two screws to a rectangular black plastic display stand. The underside of this stand features an embossed oval cartouche reading Oxford Diecast above the words VINTAGE MODEL.
