A Vintage Lesney Models of Yesteryear Die-Cast Metal Aveling & Porter Steam Roller - A vintage Lesney Models of Yesteryear die-cast metal Aveling & Porter steam roller, representing the number one release in this popular collector series. The miniature is finished in a traditional green paint on the boiler and canopy, accented by two red spoked rear wheels and a split front roller, all featuring grey-painted rims. The rectangular canopy is supported by four vertical black-painted metal pillars above the rear platform. An unpainted dark metal flywheel is positioned on the side of the main boiler casting. The interior underside of the canopy is clearly embossed with the literal text MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, AVELING AND PORTER, ROAD-ROLLER, No 1, MADE IN ENGLAND, and BY LESNEY. This English-made model is structurally complete with all original components present, including the often-damaged canopy assembly. The wheels and rollers are designed for free movement on their metal axles.
