The model features a die-cast metal body and chassis finished in olive drab paint, supported by metal axles and four black knobbly tires. The interior includes cast seating and dashboard details, although the original plastic driver figure and steering wheel are absent. A metal-framed windshield is fitted to the cowl, and a matching spare tire is mounted to the rear. The underside of the chassis features raised cast lettering that reads MADE IN ENGLAND to the front, AUSTIN CHAMP to the centre, and DINKY TOYS MECCANO LTD to the rear section.
