A Vintage Matchbox Lesney Die-cast 1918 Crossley R.A.F. Tender - A vintage Matchbox Lesney die-cast 1918 Crossley R.A.F. Tender, produced as part of the Models of Yesteryear series. The model features a blue-grey die-cast chassis and body, fitted with a removable tan plastic rear canopy and a cream-coloured plastic cab roof. The vehicle is detailed with gold-toned plastic components, including the steering wheel and radiator. The underside of the chassis is cast with the following text: MADE IN ENGLAND, LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD, MATCHBOX, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, Y-13, 1918 CROSSLEY R.A.F. TENDER, and copyright 1973. Decorative markings include the R.A.F. roundel and RAF lettering to the sides, and a red cross to the rear canopy. The lot includes the original blue window box featuring a wood-grain effect top panel printed with the model name and a white adhesive label from HCP Auctions South West for Lot 137.
