A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1922 Foden Guinness Steam Wagon - A vintage Macau-made Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1922 Foden Guinness steam wagon, presented in its original retail window box. The die-cast vehicle is finished in dark blue paint with gold-toned highlights and features a rear cargo bed containing a load of five light brown plastic barrels. The model rolls on red plastic spoked wheels. The underside of the chassis bears raised cast lettering including the Matchbox lozenge logo, © 1983, Matchbox Intl Ltd, Models of Yesteryear, Y-27 1922 Foden, Steam Wagon, and Made in Macau. The side panels of the cargo bed are decorated with the name GUINNESS in gold serif lettering, while the cab sides display circular transfers featuring a harp and text for St James's Gate, Dublin. The red and gold cardboard window box identifies the model as Y27/1922 Foden 'C' Type Steam Wagon on the end flap and retains a gold adhesive promotional sticker reading MODELS of YESTERYEAR 1985 CALENDAR OFFER. A white third-party adhesive label reading Lot 139 HCP Auctions South West is affixed to the plastic window.
