A Collection of Vintage British Forged Steel Mechanic's Spanners and Tools - A collection of vintage forged steel mechanic's spanners and hand tools, dating from the mid-20th century and primarily of British manufacture. The lot includes five L-shaped crank-style socket speed handles, two of which are fitted with knurled metal grips. A varied assortment of spanners is present, comprising open-ended, ring, and combination types in both metric and imperial sizes. The tools are constructed from forged and chrome-plated steel, accompanied by a set of metal files featuring turned wooden handles and metal ferrules. Marks include a combination spanner stamped CHROME BILKA, a large spanner marked CHROME VANADIUM and 13/16, and various British standard sizes including 1/2 BSF 7/16 W and 7/16 W, often accompanied by the legend MADE IN ENGLAND. One smaller spanner shank is stamped INDIA. A ratcheting ring wrench is marked 3/4.
